Do Not Weep for Me
This is one of my first Poems I wrote. It means the most to me.
It was written with lots of emotions & feelings for my Mom.
Written in Memory of My Big Brother who was taken from us unexpectedly.

Do Not Weep For Me

You have loved me since I was conceived.
You have nurtured me, and gave me all that I need.
Your love embraced me like a hug so dear,
you should not shed a tear.

My life was complete and true,
because I had love from you.
You always took care of me,
you taught me to be all I could be.

I'm sorry I didn't stay here longer,
but my soul began to hunger.
How was I to know,
that it was my time to go?

I saw only the good in people here,
I never had any fear.
I tried to help and serve,
for the "greater good" with much nerve.

How was I to know, that it was my time to go?

I love you dearly,
I can see your face everyday, clearly.
I want to send you a tight and warm embrace,
to see a smile once again on your face.
Do not weep for me,
for I am upon the great one's knee.
I knew all along, this was the place for me.

For it wasn't my time,
you saw the sign.
My soul came back to be,
right here upon the great one's knee.
When the time is right again Mom,
I'll be home with thee.

But when you need me,
I will always be -
in a safe place, and looking at your face,
giving you that warm, tight embrace.
I will forever be, your little star,
and I will never go far.
I will always be in your heart,
and you will always be in my soul,
for you gave me life.

Do not weep for me, Mom,
I am here, and I live in your heart,
and in your soul,
I will always remain a part of you,
and you will always be a part of me.
Just remember Mom, I'm on the great one's knee.

So, Mom do not weep for me,
and never fear,
because I will always be near.
